Before we start talking about tattoo care, let’s talk about the moment right after getting tattooed.<\/p>\n\n

It’s important to note that once completed<\/strong>, the tattoo artist will apply a protective transparent film over the tattooed area<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

This film can be a common plastic, which must be removed and changed every 4 hours for 24 hours. A gentle wash with warm water and neutral soap should be followed by patting dry with a clean paper towel. <\/p>\n\n

An alternative is a special film called second skin<\/strong>, which is left on the skin between 24 and 48 hours to protect the tattoo while it begins to heal. Once the initial protectors are removed<\/strong>, proceed with the following steps<\/strong>:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n
